Caravan Description
Our mobile home is situated at Siblu's Le Lac Des Reves on the Mediterranean coast, South of France.
Le Lac Des Reves is a very special place for us. We first went to Le Lac Des Reves in 1997 and bought our first mobile home at the end of that first holiday. We have been back every year since.
In 2008 we upgraded to a 3 bedroom model. Our own children love the place and treat it as their second home.
We have put a lot of thought into making our holiday home as comfortable as possible and hope you will enjoy your stay.
The following should give you a taste of what to expect when you arrive:
Our mobile home is a real home from home. There is a dining area and lounge area with an air conditioning and heating unit. There is a mains fully filtered water chiller supplying chilled water and hot water at the pull of a lever. There are full kitchen facilities, including a full size gas cooker, microwave and fridge freezer.
There are three bedrooms, one double, one twin and a third with bunk beds. There is an additional double bed that folds out from under the lounge area seating.
The caravan has an integral bathroom with shower, toilet and wash basin. There is also a separate toilet room with wash basin. Gas fired hot water and mains cold water is supplied throughout the mobile home.
Don't forget we have wired both British and European sockets so you don't need those fiddly adapters. There's even a washing machine and an iron supplied!
Arrival and Departure
Any day arrival or departure can be negotiated. Take advantage of those cheap midweek flights! Just contact us. Please remember, in order to keep the cost of hire reasonably priced (have you seen those Siblu prices!) it has to be expected that everybody leaves the mobile home as they would wish to find it.
On changeover days please depart by 10am and don't arrive until after 4pm. This just gives us time to see that it is clean and tidy and to check the gas between guests.
Booking Conditions
There's a full list we will provide, but the main things to remember are:
A telephone call or e-mail will secure a booking for 7 days pending receipt of the deposit.
25% is required to secure the booking, which is non-refundable, so don't forget to take out holiday cancellation insurance.
The balance is due 8 weeks before arrival.

About the Area
The site is featured in the Siblu brochure where you can see photographs of the site, swimming pools and information on the local area. You can also see details of the similarly styled 'Excellence' mobile home whilst you are there just compare prices. Remember we also have a full length terrace.Shopping
There is a small shop on the site, but locally there are two enormous hypermarkets, Auchan and Carrefour. There are numerous smaller shops selling clothes, luggage, sports, shoes jewellery and even a Toys R Us. There are lots of Retail parks in the area; you'll be spoilt for choice.
Places to Eat
The site has its own bar, restaurant and take-away. The local town hypermarket malls incorporate the dreaded McDonalds and other cafes and taverns. Palavas has its own tower with revolving restaurant, well worth the experience.
Leisure Activities
Many activities are organized on the site by Siblu. Out and about you can indulge in many others - the choice is really up to you.
Getting There
We have tried many ways:
Cross channel - choice of ferry, hovercraft or tunnel. We prefer the tunnel, mainly for the speed of booking in and crossing. Then drive through France. Again we prefer the auto routes for speed. Driving in France really is a delight and you will be surprised what distances you can cover. With shared drivers it is perfectly possible to cover the whole distance in one day although we do make an overnight stop if we are driving with the children.
Fly - there are regular cheap flights by the budget airlines straight into Montpellier or even Nimes which are only a 45 minute drive away, and Carcassonne about an hour and a half away
Train - personally we haven't tried this but we are getting good reports from our guests.
