Caravan Description
For hire on La Carabasse, is our modern, air-conditioned mobile home, complete with a large covered deck and set on a large, quiet corner plot.
This holiday home has a full length shaded terrace - great for breakfast on hot summer mornings - and a large astro-turfed sunny area with loungers. Additionally, there is a large family dining area on the lawn; perfect for the evenings.
In the unlikely event of getting bored, in the mobile home there is UK and French TV, a DVD player with a large selection of English language DVDs, and even a Bluetooth speaker!
With the mobile home you will find a fully equipped kitchen, including a Nespresso machine and all cookware, crockery and cutler you may need. A hairdryer is also provided.
The mobile home is in immaculate condition with china, glass, pots, pans and a gas outdoor grill – plus of course, a fully functioning kitchen with oven, hob, microwave and large fridge/freezer.
Our mobile for hire on La Carabasse is very well-equipped and includes all linen and towels. You really do just need your holiday clothes!
Outside we have sofas and chairs for your relation. There are two adult bikes for our guest’s use too, along with a games and sports box for all the family.
A first aid kit is also provided, just in case!
Location
La Carabasse is a lovely family site in the south of France. It offers a fantastic pool complex, but is about a 10 minute from the beach. Vias Plage is a short stroll down the road, which is packed with great restaurants and food to go - as only the French can do it....
Other facilities on site include a children's club, entertainment in the evening, a bar, restaurant, 2 tennis courts, children's play area and a games room. There is 24 hour security on site too, and La Carabasse has rigorous safety standards, including modern alarm systems for your safety and that of your family.
You will also find a Spar supermarket on the site, with a butchers and bakers. In nearby Vias town though, there is a great market each Wednesday and Saturday, and you will also find 2 supermarkets; Intermarche and Leader Price. There is a giant Hyper U in Agde and a Carrefour in Beziers.
Nearby, you can find the lovely Cap d'Agde, and you will be spoilt for choice for lovely, safe beaches that shelve very gently.
The Canal du Midi runs through the region, with regular boat trips on offer.
With Valras, Marseillan, Agde and Pezonas very close by, and 4 beaches in Vias itself, your choice of beaches with great facilities (including restaurants) is wide.
For shopping, the ancient towns of Beziers and Narbonne are each around 20 minutes away, and Montpellier, which is stunning, is around a 35 minute drive.
There’s kayaking, windsurfing, jet ski and beach clubs in abundance.
The area is also very historic and a trip to Carcassonne is really recommended. The Languedoc is rapidly becoming the European centre for organic wine production and the area is surrounded by lovely vineyards, including the historic Preignes vineyard about 10 minutes away. The area from Trebes to Ginestas is home to the Minervois wine producers and is particularly lovely.
The 2019 Tour de France has 2 stages in the area - Nimes, looping round to Pont du Gard.
Getting to Vias
Driving, it takes 11 hours from the Eurotunnel.
There is a choice of local airports as follows: Beziers Cap d'Agde (Ryanair) - 10 minute drive; Montpellier (Easyjet) - 35 minute drive; Carcassonne and Nimes – both 1 hour 10 minutes away.
