The Accommodation

Hafan Dawel 2 is a spacious 2 bedroom, central heated, luxury caravan complimented by a beautiful extended decking overlooking the Pembrokeshire National Park.

The shower room is very spacious for that individual time, and a great place to collect your thoughts and reflect on the day, or getting ready for an evening out.

The location is idyllic and quiet, and ideal for relaxing, reading a paper/book or with a glass of your favourite tipple. Sitting on the decking is incredibly tranquil.

The lounge provides a great environment to relax at the end of a busy day. It’s a great place to socialize with those who mean the most in your life or to watch TV through the 4K Smart TV with or without the fire on.

The 2 bedrooms are furnished to a high standard, with quality fixtures and fittings. Both contain a wardrobe, bedside tables with lamps, hangers and a mirror. The master bedroom also has a hairdryer.

The bedding is all Egyptian cotton and the towels are of the highest quality.

This is your home from home and we want you to relax and enjoy your holiday or break.

Wi-Fi is available – UNLIMITED and FREE!

Whilst there is an absolute beauty to the tranquillity of the location, please be aware that the Wi-Fi speeds etc., are not what you would be used to in major towns and cities.

The caravan is situated near the small hamlet of Stepaside - the name Stepaside originated from Oliver Cromwell marching to Pembroke with his Army and asking the villagers to step aside to allow his army access and avoid any conflict.

Our caravan overlooks the National Park woodland and the nearby Heritage Park.

About the Area

Surrounding Area

A footpath opposite Hafan Dawel 2 leads down to the beach and then you can follow the flat, winding coastal path to Saundersfoot.

Wiseman’s Bridge Caravan Park does have a convenience shop and the Wiseman's Bridge Inn offers great pub food – and it’s right next to the sea!

Just a 30 minute walk along the flat, safe coastal path (or approximately 2 miles in the car) is a Michelin Star restaurant ‘Coast’, which overlooks the sea.

Saundersfoot is approximately 1 ¼ miles from Hafan Dawel 2; a beautiful harbour with plenty of food and café options.

Hafan Dawel 2 is located less than 50 meters from the beautiful Carmarthen Bay, where you can enjoy all kinds of water activities during your stay with us, including sea swimming on the Blue Flag awarded beaches, kayaking to explore the coastline from a different angle, or a spot of sea fishing with one of the many chartered boats leaving from Saundersfoot and Tenby harbours.

Hafan Dawel 2 is the ideal location for beautiful walks, cycle rides and family time in the fabulous Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, surrounded by wonderful countryside and stunning , award-winning beaches.

Other Things to Note

For a great coffee and homemade cake, visit the café in Tenby Harbour by the RNLI shed. It’s very small and only has outside seating next the church/beach/harbour, but is worth going if you like a hot drink in a mug and homemade cake.

For dining, there is good pub food is at Wiseman's Bridge Inn or in Saundersfoot at the Harbwr Bar and Kitchen. There are Tapas options etc., in Saundersfoot depending on your palate. Mulberry restaurant in Saundersfoot does a fabulous Sunday lunch, but also very good food - a personal favourite, but you will need to book in advance.

There are restaurants from Michelin star restaurants (Coast at Coppet Hall), Gastro pubs and places to suit all pockets. If you have a particular request or are looking for any recommendations, please don't hesitate to ask.

The Indian restaurant in Kilgetty, Severn Spice, is really good, as is the Dragon Palace Chinese restaurant on the way into Saundersfoot - both deliver to the property .

Fish and Chips - Kilgetty has a very good one, which is always busy, especially on Fridays. The options are plentiful and Saundersfoot has two very good chip shops, the one by the Harbour is lovely, but pricey.

For self-catering holidays in a rural retreat, this peaceful area of South Pembrokeshire is the perfect location. Surrounded by peaceful countryside yet still within a mile of glorious beaches.

Stepaside is a small village 6 miles north of Tenby, and belongs to the community of Amroth. Many years ago it was a hive of industrial activity after the Pembrokeshire Iron and Coal Company built the Kilgetty Ironworks here in 1848 but ceased operating in 1888. It is believed that Stepaside got its name from when Oliver Cromwell and his army passed through the village and asked people to step aside so that he could continue his journey to Pembroke. Nowadays, Stepaside is a leafy valley ideal for self-catering family holidays or short breaks. It’s close to the sea and yet quiet enough to feel secluded.
