Caravan Description

No.33 By the Sea is a modern 4 berth static caravan for hire on Bank Farm Leisure Park; a family friendly campsite in Horton, Swansea, nestled in the beautiful Gower Peninsula.

Our static caravan is just a 10 minute walk from Port Eynon beach and a 10 minute drive from the stunning Rhosilli Bay and Oxwich

The sitting/dining area is spacious with a TV and plenty of cupboard space.

It has a fully fitted modern kitchen which includes - gas oven, 60/40 fridge freezer, toaster, microwave, pans, crockery and glasses.

The main bedroom has a double bed, a fitted wardrobe and bedside tables. The second bedroom has two single beds with a small wardrobe, a bed guard is available for the little ones. Bedding is not provided, but all mattresses have clean protectors.

The bathroom has a toilet, sink, a good-sized shower, which is easily accessible and has a grab rail, bath mats are provided but not towels.

Complimentary tea, coffee, milk and clean tea towels are provided with every stay.

The entertainment in the clubhouse, use of the pool, gas and electricity are included in the price.

Bookings and Conditions

There is parking available alongside the caravan and additional parking nearby.

It's a minimum two-night stay, three nights over bank holidays.

Sorry, we don’t accept dogs or groups of young people.

Check in at 3pm and check out at 10.00am, although this can be altered by prior arrangement dependent upon bookings.

A £50 deposit is required to secure your booking. The deposit is non-refundable should you cancel your holiday unless you are unable to attend due to covid related illness or restrictions in the area you are travelling to and from. Full balance payable 4 weeks before the start date of your holiday.

Location

All Bank Farm facilities are available during your stay which includes - a clubhouse, heated indoor pool, shop, laundrette, children’s play area and tennis court.

There is free entertainment available in the clubhouse during the peak season and bank holidays. Please be aware this may vary due to possible Covid restrictions, please check their website for up to date information.

Bank Farm have FREE Wi-Fi available in the main building area. There is no set up required for this. It is called Bank Farm FREE Wi-Fi, connect to this through your settings. The connection is suitable for normal usage. If you wish to use the Wi-Fi in the caravan you will need to purchase a voucher code at reception. This service is called ‘Bank Farm Premium 5Ghz’. Below are the prices which will allow 3 devices to be connected. £5.00 gives you up to 3 days, £10.00 gives you up 7 days.

Please be aware that EE and BT mobile are the only mobile phone networks which currently have a good signal in this area. The nearest pay phone is at the end of Bank Farm Cafe.

Places to visit during your stay - Port Eynon is the nearest village and beach which is within walking distance from the campsite (approx. 10 mins) or a short drive away.

On the sea front there are two fish & chip shops, a souvenir shop and the Smugglers Beach Bar.

The beach is sandy and ideal for families.

The Mumbles area is a gorgeous place to visit for the day. Mumbles pier has a life boat house, an artificial ice rink, an amusement arcade and bowling upstairs to keep all the family entertained.

There is plenty to do to keep the children occupied including lots of little shops and boutiques to buy local produce.

Rhossili is a 10 minute drive away where the renowned Worms Head is located. You can relax & have a drink in the Worms Head Hotel overlooking the outstanding views of Rhossili Bay and the whole area is owned by the National Trust giving you some lovely walks.

Oxwich is a small village, with a lovely beach is also a 10 minute drive away. In addition to the beach there is a castle located at the top of the hill near the village green.

Three Cliffs this is the place to go if you love your walking. There is no access via car down to the beach, you can walk there from either the Pennard or Oxwich side of the bay or walking form Parkmill. There a two small car parks on the main road, from here it is a good half hour walk down to the bay but definitely worth it. Three Cliffs is also owned by the national trust, you will find this a lot quieter than any council owned beach, please be aware that the tide does cover the entire area when in, there are no public toilets or rubbish bins. From the beach you can see Pennard Castle.

The Gower Heritage Centre is situated in the village of Parkmill, it is less than a 10 minute drive away, just off the A4118. The centre is based around a 12th Century working water wheel, with historic craft workshops. There are activities for children, an animal park and a tea room, open from 10am -5pm, times may vary in the winter months. There is a charge for some of the facilities and craft workshops. Perriswood is also less than a 10 minute drive away just off of the A4118. It offers Archery tuition for ages 6 & over. It has a rifle range and a tea room, please check their website for more information.

Swansea is the furthest town; it will take you 30-40 minutes to drive to the city centre or an hour on the bus from the village hall. The leisure centre 2 re-opened in March 2008, fun for all ages. Located next to the leisure centre 2 is the Waterfront Museum. If you like shopping then Swansea has a wide range of big name brands.
