Enjoying proud status as the largest island in England, the Isle Of Wight has been a popular holiday destination since Victorian times. The Island is situated around 4 miles from Hampshire, on the English coast, and is reachable by ferry, catamaran and even hovercraft.
Measuring only 13 miles long by 23 miles wide, the island manages to pack in a variety of towns and villages, many complete with wonderful natural landscapes and exciting coastlines. Whether you come for one of the popular festivals held throughout the year, or for a quieter break, we’re sure you’ll have a fantastic holiday.
Because we have a number of holiday parks on the Isle of Wight, we have put together this smart map. It allows you to easily choose your ideal park based on your preferred location, it also provides full address information for each park, including the postcode, to make things as easy as possible.
Travelling to the Isle of Wight
The usual route to the island from the mainland is by ferry, which, of course, gives you the option of bringing a car with you if you wish. While there are several departure locations available, if you were planning to travel to Southampton to catch your ferry, then your expected journey time when driving from London to Southampton Ferry Terminal would be a little over 2 hours using the M3. Manchester to Southampton Ferry Terminal will take over 4 hours when driving on the A34.
Direct trains are regularly available from London Waterloo Station to Southampton Central Station, and journey times will typically be around 2.5 to 3 hours. Travelling to Southampton Central Station from Manchester Piccadilly by train will take a little over 4 hours on a direct route.
