One of my favourite holiday destinations is Brittany, France. Within driving distance and ferry ride over the channel you are welcomed into a beautiful traditional and history rich region of France.
Known for it's fantastic beaches and seaside resorts Brittany also has a rich Celtic culture. Some popular destinations to visit are St-Malo, Quimper, Carnac.
St-Malo - Popular overnight Ferry from Portsmouth, the walled city of St-Malo is perfect for a weekend break or starting point for your French vacation.
Quimper - Located in the area of Finistere the oldest city in Brittany is full of Celtic culture, Breton Music Festivals. A beautiful town well worth a visit.
Carnac - No trip to Brittany is complete without a visit to the Standing stones at Carnac. These mysterious stones are in rows and Carnac is considered to be one of the oldest settlements in Europe.
