Caravan Description
Thank you for viewing our family holiday home, a 6 berth, smoke and pet free ABI Vista caravan situated on Haven's Golden Sands in Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire.
Our caravan is sited in a small, quiet and spacious owners only area of the park called ‘The Dunes’ - aptly named as the beach is literally a two minute walk away. The main amenities are also only a short 3 minute walk away.
Benefitting from newly installed double glazing and underfloor insulation, our caravan is warm and cosy all year round. It also benefits from having electric heaters in each room, including the bathroom.
New for 2017 is a large flat screen TV in the living area together with DAB radio. We have also fitted in both twin bedrooms, a small flat screen TV/DVD player.
The living area is a great place to relax; comfortably furnished with lots of seating space and a newly fitted carpet.
The dining area has a round table, seating and two stools which gives plenty of space for the family to sit around and eat.
The kitchen has a full-size cooker, grill and hob (gas), microwave, toaster, kettle, slow cooker, pots and pans, crockery and cutlery etc. for 6 people.
The sleeping accommodation comprises of 3 bedrooms, 1 double and 2 twin rooms. Duvets and pillows are provided, but you will need to bring your own bed linen, towels and tea towels.
The bathroom provides you with a full-size shower, toilet and basin; a great size for families.
Our holiday home is fully equipped to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable and includes a clothes airier, vacuum cleaner, mop and bucket. Patio tables and chairs and gas CADAC cooker/BBQ are available for your use.
The caravan is fully gas tested and is fitted with smoke and carbon monoxide sensors. All portable electrical appliances have been PAT tested.
Bookings
We are pleased to offer good availability throughout 2017 with a wide selection of dates. However school summer holiday dates are in demand so don’t leave it too late.
Out of season short breaks are available from Friday to Monday and Monday to Friday.
During July and August, we are offering 7 night stays only, from Saturday to Saturday.
Please contact me if you have a requirement for alternative holiday durations and I will see what I can do to accommodate you.
I require a non-refundable £50 deposit, which secures your booking. The balance must be paid in full 6 weeks prior to your holiday, along with a £75 refundable bond.

About the Area
Our holiday home is close to all amenities on Golden Sands Holiday Park. Being a Haven site it has fantastic amenities, which include a small shop, launderette, amusement arcade, Papa John’s Pizza and a fish & chip shop.During the closed season, there has been a major investment in the on-site restaurant making it a comfortable and family friendly place to relax and unwind. The restaurant and bars are located within the main building, together with two entertainment venues.
Also on site is a family friendly swimming complex with indoor and outdoor pools. This hosts additional activities such as kayaking.
For younger children there is a modern and well-designed playground with some small climbing walls and slides. Also, there are trampolines and an inflatable slide and during the day and early evening there’s also a family fun fair.
For the older children/adults there's petrol go karts, high ropes and climbing wall experiences. Also on site you can try your hand at the 18 hole crazy golf course, Zorbing balls and Instructor led archery and air rifle shooting. Football and basketball areas are also available free for all.
Haven / Golden Sands facilities require Funworks passes - these are not included in the rental price, but can be purchased at reception upon arrival.
Places worth a visit close to the park include the stunning blue flag beach; a must to visit and only a 2-minute walk from the caravan. From here you can catch the Sand Train which will take you into Mablethorpe.
Also within a 2 minute walk of the caravan is The Seal Sanctuary & Wildlife Centre - and it’s not just seals you will find there as they have a range of birds and animals, from birds of prey to Meerkats.
Just outside The Seal Sanctuary is the Ferryboat family pub where you can enjoy a meal and drink. The pub has regular evening entertainment, Sky Sports and a small amusement arcade with pool table.
On the other side of Mablethorpe is Queen's Park where you will find family rides, a train, motor boats, pedal swans, a paddling pool, children’s soft play area and bouncy slides, and in the centre, there's a nice café. Queens Park is only a 5-minute drive or 10 minute walk away along the seafront from town.
Recommend places to eat includes The Beck Restaurant & Bar, it’s located towards Mabethorpe and offers set meals and a carvery. Also, you must try Liberties Dive Bar situated in Spanish City in Mablethorpe. This boasts great home cooked American style food in a fab retro environment.
Excellent value for money is the Loewen Cinema. This is situated between the park and Mablethorpe and is only a 15 minute walk away. It is a small private cinema often showing the latest releases at a fraction of the price you would normally pay. It’s not a massive place, but after visiting, I’m sure you will enjoy the experience; it’s worth checking out the daily deals too.
There’s also a land train, which runs from the Seal Sanctuary to Mablethorpe and stops are located just outside of the park.
Further afield there are many more places to visit and see such as Skegness and Fantasy Island which are only 20 miles away. Also, the market town of Louth which has an interesting history and hosts weekly markets.
