Have a fantastic break in our clean and spacious, 28’ Willerby Vacation holiday caravan at Thorness Bay Holiday Park on the beautiful Isle of Wight; the perfect setting for having a nice, relaxing holiday.
The caravan can sleep up to 6 people and has 1 double bedroom, 1 twin bedded room and additional sleeping for 2 in the lounge area.
The bathroom has a large walk-in shower, hand basin and toilet.
The fully fitted kitchen has a full size cooker (gas rings and oven), a microwave, fridge freezer, toaster and kettle, together with an abundance of pots and pans. Plenty of crockery and glasses are also provided.
The dining area has padded seating on both sides and additional stool seating around the table.
The lounge has comfortable padded seating; ideal for watching the TV/DVD or listening to the radio. There is also a selection of indoor games to keep you entertained at night. For those colder nights there is a gas fire.
Outside there is a large patio area with views through the trees to the Solent, over the grassy area in front. Here we provide loungers, a table and additional chairs, along with bench seats and a barbeque. In the storage box you will also find outside games for the more energetic!
With hygiene now being paramount, we ask guests to bring their own linen and towels with them.
Location
Being a Parkdean Resort, Thorness Bay Holiday Park has great on-site amenities, which include the NISA grocery shop, a fish and chip shop, launderette, bar and restaurant, plus evening entertainment in the Showroom Bar (passes are available to purchase at reception).
Due to its great location, you can also walk directly down to Thorness Bay pebble beach or explore the abundance of local coastal paths, one of which takes you along to the seaside town of Cowes.
Thorness Bay Holiday Park is ideally located between Yarmouth and Cowes overlooking the Solent. Whilst here, why not visit Newport, which is only 10 minutes away, and stock up on groceries from the supermarkets there; Asda, Lidl, Morrisons and Sainsbury's to name a few.
From visiting Queen Victoria's Osborne House to the Monkey Sanctuary and Butterfly Farm, our caravan offers a good base for visiting places that are not far away. The Garlic farm is a great place to stop to stock up on the ingredients for the evening cooking! If you don’t fancy a day out, you can stay local with a leisurely walk to the pebbled bay or use one of the many coastal routes around the site.
The beaches of Ryde, Sandown and Shanklin are not to be missed, especially a visit Alum Bay and the Needles - explore using the cable car and the ride out into the bay with the Needles view boat.
Lastly if you don’t fancy cooking, Thorness Bay has chip shop and restaurant available, but at the same time there are some fabulous pubs within a few minutes’ drive that serve great valued food - The Blacksmith Arms is one of our favourites.
