Extra wide Atlas Amethyst, fully accessible caravan for rent on Parkdean Resorts’ Thorness Bay Holiday Park on the Isle of Wight, offering south facing, floor to ceiling panoramic windows.

The whole caravan is disability friendly, with a wide corridor and large sliding doors. Although suitable for the disabled, you will need to be able to negotiate three small steps.

Within our 32’ x12’ holiday caravan there are two bedrooms, one large double bedroom with fitted wardrobe and a twin bedroom with two single beds.

The lounge has a comfortable sofa bed, TV/DVD player and gas fire, along with a separate dining area.

The separate, fully fitted kitchen includes a gas cooker, fridge freezer, microwave and a good range of cooking utensils.

The bathroom is extra-large and is disability friendly, with an extra-large shower.

Just a short walk from our holiday caravan is a private bay.

Location

Thorness Bay, a ‘Site of Special Scientific Interest’, is on the north west side of the beautiful Isle of Wight and overlooks the Solent.

Thorness Bay Holiday Park itself sits on a woodland hillside and there are many lovely walks from the park, following the country trails. On site there is a restaurant, The Boathouse, serving a good variety of meals, including vegetarian and vegan choices, plus a good range of children's meals. Thorness Bay Holiday Park also caters for the whole family with entertainment for both children and adults; an indoor swimming pool and sports court.

Places to Visit

Nearby is Cowes, famous for Cowes Week and all-year-round sailing and water sports. Cowes features some lovely and unique shops not to be found elsewhere. There’s also plenty of places to enjoy a meal or just a snack.

Osborne House was the home of Queen Victoria and is a beautiful, historic building holding many treasures from her reign.

The Isle of Wight steam railway is a treat for both adults and children, transporting you back to a bygone age.

The Needles is a must to see and is a series of beautiful, limestone landmarks on the Island’s western shore.

Morristown Manor is 6.5 miles away, which is owned by the National Trust.

Blackgang Chine is a fantastic place to spend the day with children, keeping them occupied all day.

The town of Newport is also nearby.
