About the Area
The main restaurant/bar complex on Thorness Bay is a short, fairly level walk of approximately 100/150 yards and has a balcony with seating and tables where you can enjoy a drink or a meal whilst being able to overlook the children's play area. It also overlooks the beach, which is then a short distance of 200 to 300 yards with views to the sea beyond.
If you find it necessary it is quite easy to drive to the shop and entertainment complex in case any of your party has mobility problems, or even if you just don’t fancy walking.
Outside the Holiday Park there is much to see and visit. The port of Yarmouth, with its numerous bars, shops and restaurants, is a few minutes' drive to the west, and Cowes, the world renowned yachting centre with its numerous pubs, restaurants and all kinds of shops and some good supermarkets, is a few minutes' drive to the east. The capital of the Island, Newport, is approximately the same distance to the south east, with its many shops of all sizes and type, pubs and restaurants and numerous other facilities, which are as good as many far larger towns on the mainland, for your use and pleasure.
There are many other small towns with facilities and attractions of high interest and quality for you to see which are just too numerous to mention
We look forward to hearing from you and we are sure you will enjoy your holiday with us.
