Caravan Description

We would like to welcome you to 'Sapphire' our comfortable static caravan, set in the beautiful countryside of Sandhills Holiday Park and overlooking the fantastic cliffs of Whitecliff Bay and beach.

We have sea views from the lounge, countryside views from the rear of the caravan, and are a very short walk from the steps that take you on to the beach. It is a bit steep, so please be mindful of a harder walk up than down!

We have plenty of space outside for relaxing or sunbathing on our balcony or on the grassed area.

Sapphire has been recently refurbished with new carpets, curtains, voiles and a new double bed. The two single bed have never been used. Both the bedrooms have plenty of wardrobe and cupboard space and the double bedroom has a dressing table with two cupboards and a drawer, along with a large double wardrobe and full length mirror.

We have a large shower and hand basin and a separate WC, also with hand basin.

In our fully equipped kitchen you will find a gas cooker and hob; a brand new fridge with freezer compartment; a toaster, microwave and kettle. All cutlery, crockery, pots and a frying pan is provided along with tea towels, dish cloths, kitchen spray and washing up liquid etc.

There is an adequate size dining table with 4 chairs and table mats.

From the lounge area you can see the sea! It is equipped with TV, CD and radio; table lamps; and two very comfortable sofas, a 2 seater and 3 seater. There are plenty of throws to keep you cozy too, plus a lovely gas fire for those out of season evenings.

The outside area consists of a sea facing balcony with table and four chairs - just perfect for breakfast in the sunshine or a chilled glass of wine and watching any boats at night, and of course, a spot of star gazing! There is plenty of room on the grassed area for sunbathing and space for one or two vehicles. There are 4 steps up to caravan, with hand rail.

We are a husband and wife team, Tony and Caroline. We live in the village of Bembridge and both run local businesses. Either ourselves or our key holder will be on call should any problems arise at any time during your stay.

We do a full top to bottom clean in between guests and fresh mattress and pillow protectors are provided for each changeover.

Location

If you are looking for a peaceful getaway, then Sandhills is for you! There is no bar on site and no pets allowed either. On site there is a laundry room and play area for little ones . If you go to Reception, there you will also find a lovely shop to help supply you with essentials, e.g. bread, milk, tins, tea and coffee etc., as well as gifts and ice creams - and if the kids get bored they also sell colouring books and playing cards!

The closest pub is The Propeller, which is situated by the small Bembridge airport. It’s only a ten minute walk, but you will need a torch and there are no pavements. Alternatively, it’s just two minutes by car. The Propeller is a great, child friendly pub, which makes for a fabulous afternoon watching the small private planes taking off and landing.

In the village of Bembridge you will find a number of places to eat and drink. Please note that booking is highly recommended during peak season. You could always just enjoy the beaches around Bembrige too, with their interesting rock pools and seafood cafés.

A ten minute drive will take you to Sandown, where you will fing the zoo, Dinosaur Land and lovely beaches.

A 20 minute drive will take you to Ryde, where you will find lots to do for the little ones. The Esplanade has an indoor/outdoor swimming pool and a fair ground.

Whatever the weather, the Isle of Wight offers so much to do, and with a little research you will be spoilt for choice. It really is a magical place! I can guarantee you won’t be disappointed.
