About the Area

Sandhills is situated in a rural position on the eastern coast of this glorious island with views over the English Channel where there are passing liners, yachts and fishing boats. It is on the coastal footpath making it an ideal base for walkers and cyclists and the quiet, private beach is a lovely wide expanse of clean golden sand with rock pools for the children to explore. Refreshments, lunches, ice creams, cream teas etc. can be purchased from either of the two seaside beach cafes.

On the Sandhills site there is a self-service shop supplying groceries, beach goods, souvenirs and postcards as well as an off licence and newsagent, which is open 7 days a week from April to the end of September. Also on the site there is a small children’s play area and a launderette.

Next door to the site is the Whitecliff Bay. complex where the Nab Club Bar can be used to enjoy a drink or have a meal.

The local villages of Bembridge and Sandown are a couple of miles away where you can find a variety of shops, restaurants and takeaway facilities.

Within walking distance of the caravan are three pubs one of which is renowned for its cuisine.

For food shopping there are a number of supermarkets nearby.
