Please note: The bungalow is not on a holiday park and is for holiday hire only. No long term lets available due to us using the property for our own holiday breaks.
Sorry, no pets allowed. We do have a dog ourselves that visits during our stays, so the bungalow may not be suitable for those with allergies.

THE LIVING AREA
The living area is located to the rear of the property, where you will find L shaped seating that looks out through the French doors and across the established garden, to the fields behind. On a feature wall is a TV, with a Sky box and DVD player. Below is an electric fire. This area also has 2 sockets with USB charging facilities. Free Wi-Fi is also available. Behind the seating area follows the dining area.
THE DINING AREA
The dining area, located between the living area and kitchen, offers a table and chairs that comfortably seats 4 people. In this area is a radiator.
THE KITCHEN AREA
Following on from the dining area is the kitchen, which is located to the front of the bungalow and looks out across the driveway, front garden and across to thatched cottages. The kitchen is set in an L shape and has top and bottom cupboards; kettle, toaster and microwave; electric, touch operated hob and electric, dial operated oven; extractor fan; fridge/freezer; dishwasher and washing machine. The kitchen contains everything you may need for your stay, and is heated by radiator.
MASTER BEDROOM
The master bedroom is located to the back of the property and is very light due to the dual aspect windows. The rear window looks out across the back garden and across the fields. To the side of the property is the second window which looks out and over neighbouring bungalows and up to the hills in the distance. There is a king size bed with drawers underneath and hanging lights above, along with bedside cabinets. Over each bedside cabinet is a dimmable switch to the bedside lights, along with a socket, each of which having 2 USB sockets. There’s also wardrobes with plenty of space to store your clothes. This area is heated via a radiator.
TWIN BEDROOM
The twin bedroom is located to the front of the bungalow. This room contains two single beds with a bedside cabinet, complete with drawers and bedside light. Above the cabinet is a socket which has 2 USB sockets. The wardrobes have plenty of storage for your clothes. The bedroom is heated via a radiator.
THE BATHROOM
The bathroom is located to the side of the bungalow and comprises a toilet, wash basin and a large electric shower with dual sliding doors. Within the shower is a fold down seat and handrails, along with an exactor fan. Below the wash basin is a cabinet and above is a wall mirror, which has a push button light and a shaver point, housed inside a sliding compartment. This area is heated with a towel rail radiator.
BABIES AND CHILDREN
A microwave steam steriliser,
A high chair (6 months - 3 years),
Bedguard (2 - 5 years)
are all available for your use free of charge.
EV CHARGER
The Wishing Well now has its own EV Charger.
Electric charging is only available via the supplied EV Charger.
Please note : - The use of this service is chargeable on top of the holiday cost.
Request to use the charger is by prior arrangement.

Alternatively you can use the EV Chargers located in the car park next to the Spar Shop.
FRONT GARDEN AND DRIVEWAY
To the front of the bungalow is a shared driveway with the adjoining neighbour. The driveway sweeps to the right where it becomes the driveway for ‘The Wishing Well’ and can accommodate 2 cars. There is a large front garden, planted with mature plants and lawn, that is partly walled - please note that part of the lawned garden is open and raised up from the road. The road is directly outside the property boundary and there is no path on the side of the road to the bungalow, although there is a pathway on the opposite side.
From the driveway you enter the property through a gate, which leads to a stepped decked area leading up the the main front door.
BACK GARDEN
To the rear of the bungalow is a large lawned garden that looks out over fields and hills to both the back and side. In between the lovely mature plants in the rear garden, is the well - a lovely feature of a 22ft deep, stone walled well and where ‘The Wishing Well’ gets its name. The well is covered by a grill for safety, but it is a fully working well. This is a lovely feature to the garden and is also has lights that automatically come on in the evening.
The garden is accessed from the living area through a set of French doors, which leads to a stepped, decked area that sweeps down into the garden.
SIDE GARDEN
To the side of the bungalow is a large, decked area, complete with lighting and a table and chairs so you can enjoy dining al fresco on those warmer evenings. PLEASE NOTE - THERE IS NO HOT TUB. The photograph above shows the table and chairs on the decking under its winter cover.
BOTTOM OF THE GARDEN
‘The Wishing Well’ has even more on offer – at the end of the garden is a wired fence to its boundary and just over the boundary is a pen. Within the pen you can currently view an Aplaca belonging to the neighbouring farm. Beyond there is another pen, in which you can see sheep. It is very relaxing sitting having a drink and watching the animals.
BABIES AND CHILDREN
Microwave steam steriliser, high chair (6 months - 3 years) and bedguard (2 - 5 years) are all available for your use - free of charge.
HEATING
The bungalow has a electric fire in the living area and central heating throughout.
PARKING
Parking is to the front of the bungalow and is accessed via a shared driveway. A maximum of 2 cars is permitted only. These must not restrict access to the shared part of the driveway at any time. Parking is not allowed on the grassed areas.
CCTV
Please note, the outside is covered by cameras for the security of the property. These are only on the outside of the building and there is no audio to these cameras. There are 4 cameras, one across the rear of the property, one across the side and one across the front. The fourth is pointing into the nearby field.
LINEN
All beds are supplied with either a king size or single duvet. The king size has 4 pillows and singles, 2 pillows each. We do request that all guests supply their own bed linen, including duvet covers, pillow cases and sheets, as well as towels and tea towels for their stay.
TV LICENCE
Please note your own TV Licence does not cover you in the bungalow. All our properties are covered by their own separate TV Licences.
HEALTH AND SAFETY
The bungalow is checked at regular intervals, by a certified contractor. Gas is certificated each year and electric is certificated every 5 years. The Certificates are displayed in the bungalow. All electrical items are PAT tested by a certified contractor.
Fire and Carbon Monoxide detectors (checked before each letting) are provided for your added peace of mind.
RESTRICTIONS
No smoking is permitted within the bungalow. Ashtrays are provided for outside use only.
No pets allowed.
No parties allowed, whose members are all under the age of 21 years.
No parties allowed, whose members are all male or all female.
No parties allowed, whose members exceed the number of berths contained in our property.
BOOKINGS
A £100 refundable security deposit (subject to the Terms & Conditions) which is not included in the holiday price, is required within 24 hours of a booking being taken. A completed bookign form is required within 3 days.
The cost of the holiday is then required 6 weeks prior to arrival date.
Maximum stay is 28 nights.
LOCATION
The Wishing Well is located in the lovely village of Chideock in Bridport, Dorset.
Within a few minutes’ walk are 2 local pubs, The George Inn and the Clockhouse, both of which serve lovely food.
Within a one minute walk of our holiday bungalow, is a small, local Spar shop with Post Office. There is a Morrisons sore in Bridport itself, which is approximately a 10 minute drive. A few minutes’ drive towards Charmouth is the local farm shop.
A short walk from the bungalow and along a public footpath is a play area for children, which incorporates and large grassed area. This is a beautiful walk, going over a bridge to a stream. Further along the footpath, which leads onto a fairly quiet road, you go by some beautiful properties and scenery. Walk this route for approximately 19 minutes and you are at the beach in Seatown (parking also available at cost if you prefer to drive). At Seatown is another lovely pub, The Anchor Inn, which also serves some lovely food.
Another stop to visit is the Golden Cap, which is close to the beach at Seatown.
West Bay, Burton Bradstock, Bridport, Lyme Regis and Weymouth are all a short drive away.
