About the Area
Location
Cauldron Barn Farm Caravan Park is a quiet site overlooking the Purbeck Hills, with lovely views in all directions. Although the site does not have a club house or swimming pool, Swanage Beach and town centre are only some 15 minutes walking distance from the park with numerous restaurants and activities.
The site does have a laundry room with washers, dryers and ironing facilities.
Cauldron Barn is the closest Park to Swanage Beach and all activities.
Swanage has a great steam railway and a trip by train to the quaint village of Corfe with its imposing ruined castle is a must. Studland Village is a short drive away with a lovely sandy beach, or if you prefer after a bite to eat at the Bankes Arms take a walk across the fields to the Old Harry Rocks.
Visit Tynham village, a place stopped in time. Tynham is owned by the MOD, but they allow visitors during the weekend or all through August.
Swanage has a lot going on during August with a firework display every Saturday night. Swanage also has a long sandy beach with very safe swimming for children. Fishing for crabs is a great pastime for the children - you can see them with their buckets and crab lines trying to see who can catch the most.
There are so many nice places to visit in and around Swanage.
