This Willerby Molton special edition holiday home is available for hire at Challaborough Bay Holiday Park near Bigbury, South Devon. It has 2 bedrooms and sleeps 6 people. It is situated in a quiet part of the park with just a 5 minute walk from the sea and a beautiful sandy beach and all the park facilities.
The holiday home has open plan living space which is light and airy and is decorated to a high standard in neutral tones with accents of blues and greens to reflect the colours of the sea.
To the front there is a fully enclosed decking with table and chairs where you can enjoy the sun and dine alfresco when the weather permits which is accessed from double patio doors from the living area. The entry door is on the side and is accessed by a small flight of steps to a small gated decking area which is also lockable.
Entering from the side door you will come directly into the dining area which is adjacent to the kitchen and living areas of the open plan layout. The dining area has a free standing table with 4 leatherette chairs. A cupboard here houses the central heating combi boiler and storage for cleaning equipment (hoover, mop, broom, dustpan etc.).
The kitchen area wraps around the dining area and is fully equipped with a full size 4 ring gas cooker (bottled gas), sink/drainer, dishwasher, 50/50 fridge freezer and microwave. There is adequate worktop space for food and drink preparation with storage cupboards under and over. You will find a full set of china tableware, glasses and cutlery for 6 people, along with sufficient saucepans and cooking utensils. Plus an electric kettle, Nespresso coffee machine, bread machine (recipes available on request before your holiday), toaster, iron and ironing board (found in the walk in wardrobe).
From the dining/kitchen area you enter the living area which consists of two free standing sofas (one 2 seater and one 3 seater which converts to a double bed). The TV is situated on a shelving unit in this area which has further shelving above. There are also several plug sockets which double up as USB charging points. Overhead lighting as well as a small table and standard lamp.
Heading back to the dining/kitchen area, and along a small hallway to the back of the holiday home passing by the rack for coat hanging you will enter the large master bedroom with its king size bed, side storage tables with side lamps and walk-in dressing area. This comprises of a dressing table with stool and mirror over, hair dryer and additional shelving and hanging rails for your clothing. There are sockets either side of the bed with USB charging point and by the dressing table.
Also off the hallway you will find the second bedroom which consists of two bunk sized single beds (2 foot 6 inches wide), a bedside cabinet, wardrobe with hanging rail and shelf, plus a small vanity shelf with mirror over. There is a USB charging point by the beds and adequate electric sockets.
The bathroom is also off of the hallway and is complete with a large walk-in shower with vanity shelving, a wash hand basin, toilet, shaver plug, mirror with light over and a heated towel rail (when the heating is on).
The holiday home has double glazing throughout plus radiators in every room run off a combi boiler (bottled gas) which runs the central heating (can be timer controlled) and provides hot water to both the kitchen and bathroom. The holiday home also benefits from an alarm system.
To the outside of the holiday home there is parking for one vehicle, plus a small patio and grass area with paving, leading from the parking area to the steps. The bottles of gas are sited towards the back of the holiday home. There is also an external tap.
Bookings are usually Saturday to Saturday. Bedding and towels packs can be supplied for a small fee - POA.
Location
Challaborough Bay Holiday Park is a Parkdean site. Apart from its stunning, award-winning beach it has an indoor swimming pool; restaurant and bar situated overlooking the beach; cash machine; free Wi-Fi within the venues; an amusement arcade; plus, convenience store for daily essentials.
There is also an on-site takeaway and a fish and chip shop (take away or eat in) by the beach. Sit and watch the sun set over the bay while you eat locally sourced produce in Fryer Tucker’s fish and chip restaurant (booking advised).
During the season you can access lessons for diving and surfing for additional fees.
Please Note: Passes for the venues are NOT included in the price of your holiday, but can be purchased from Reception on arrival, for a small, additional fee.
Charging of Electric vehicles is not permitted at the Holiday Home with the exception of mobility scooters.
Most of the supermarkets deliver to site, so don't forget to book your slot before you leave home.
Local attractions include Burgh Island with its Art Deco hotel, The Sealife Centre at Plymouth, Dartmoor Zoo and not forgetting a visit for ice cream at Salcombe.
