Providing direct contact with the Holiday Home owner since 2003
Our cottages in the UK are situated in some of the most favourable areas such as Cornwall, and the areas are fairly accessible for all types of travellers.
Whether you’re an avid caravaner, regular flyer, or just a little curious, when choosing to holiday in Cornwall it can be helpful to understand some of the differences between hiring a caravan and renting a cottage. We hope this short guide can help you to make the best decision for your holiday.
Cottages tend to be hidden gems and located off the beaten track, offering a tranquil holiday retreat.
The first and most obvious difference is likely to be space. A small holiday cottage will usually have a noticeably larger living area than a moderate caravan. If you often find yourself craving a bit of extra room, or enjoy holidaying with a larger group of family or friends, a cottage could be an excellent choice for your next break.
Another difference is privacy. Some holiday-goers prefer the more open, communal layout most holiday parks offer, and the extra interaction with their neighbours can be an important part of the break. If this isn’t you however, then the added privacy of a cottage might be just the thing to help you unwind.
One drawback to caravans and holiday parks is that they are mostly seasonal, and that means that finding an out of season holiday can be quite difficult. Holiday cottages don’t have this issue and can be rented for your break throughout the entire year - so long as no one else has booked it first!
And, finally, if you’re the sort of person that enjoys the feeling of an open fire, then a cottage is a real treat. It’s hard to beat sitting down after a long and pleasant day with the light, warmth and crackle of an open fire or wood burner. If this is important to you, remember to check that your desired let has a fire before booking.
We love caravan holidays and cottages are not for everyone, if you want the exciting fun packed family get away then many holiday parks in Cornwall can offer fantastic breaks for you. You can find all caravans in UK listed here
