Seven or fourteen day stays only. Fourteen day stays are eligible for a small discount. Sorry, no short breaks.

Within this cosy home away from home on Trevella Holiday Park, is a well-appointed and bright kitchen, complete with washing machine, integrated fridge/freezer, gas hob, microwave, slow cooker, toaster and electric kettle and extensive counter space for food preparation. The dining table has seating for four.

There is a dining set for four with umbrella on the decking, for those days when you want to dine al fresco. The decking is accessible through sliding glass doors from the lounge and has south and west facing exposures, so lots of sunshine and a good view of the sunsets towards Crantock Bay.

The caravan has ultra-fast, unlimited Wi-Fi for your convenience, along with a 43" TV in the lounge. There also are some books, along with a couple of jigsaw puzzles.

An electric fire in the lounge provides a nice and relaxing ambience in the evenings after a day out and about. The windows are all double glazed for added comfort on the mizzly, damp days, but don't worry, the sun will be shining again before you know it - such is the weather system in Crantock.

The master bedroom has a king size bed with a memory foam mattress topper, as well as an ensuite bathroom with deep bathtub, shower, WC and basin. There is a double wardrobe for clothing. An iron, ironing board, hairdryer and vacuum cleaner are also provided. The second bedroom has two single beds and a wardrobe. There are USB charging ports in both bedrooms for your electronics, as well as reading lamps.

The family bathroom has a large shower (built-in seat), WC and basin. A basic first aid kit is provided.

For your family's protection, the caravan is equipped with smoke alarms, a carbon monoxide detector, a fire extinguisher and egress windows in both bedrooms.

The caravan will be immaculately cleaned prior to your arrival and all beds made up. Sheets, duvets, blankets and towels are provided (except for the pull-out bed in the lounge). Please bring your own beach towels.

A small Cornish welcome hamper will be waiting for you on arrival.

There is a good sized parking space beside the caravan for your vehicle, and also an electric charging station near the reception office if you have an electric vehicle. Electric vehicles cannot be charged from the caravan’s electrical system.

Location

This comfy home away from home is situated on Trevella Holiday Park, in Crantock near Newquay in Cornwall. It is sited on a hill with a view of the fields (and grazing sheep) above the River Gannel. A small, enclosed playground for children is located on the green directly opposite the caravan.

You are only a five minute drive, or about a 25 minute walk, away from Crantock Beach through the fields. Polly Joke and Holywell Beaches are a short drive (or walk) as are the beautiful beaches in Newquay: Fistral, Towan, Porth, and Watergate. Newquay is a lovely seaside town with a beautiful harbour and lots of little shops as well as restaurants.

There is no light pollution in Crantock. Due to the dark skies here, you will be able to see the constellations of stars in the sky on a clear night. It is really beautiful! It’s a good idea to bring a torch if you want to walk through the park at night. You are likely to see scads of rabbits running around after dark.

Trevella Park has a heated pool with certified lifeguards and pool depth ranging from 2’ to 4’. There is a small golf course for children and several playgrounds around the park, along with a tiny pub called The Piskie Inn and a small convenience store.

The village of Crantock boasts two excellent pubs; the Cornishman and the Old Albion Inn. Both are great places to meet friends for good food and your favourite beverage or a Sunday roast. They host a local shanty band (Fiddle Me Timbers) and bring in outside singing groups as well - all great entertainment! The Jam Jar Kitchen has a great menu, including wood- fired pizza during the supper hour. There is bus service between Crantock and Trevella Park, so you can catch the bus home after a night at the pub if you wish.

Further along towards West Pentire are C-Bay and the Bowgie Inn where you can dine inside or out whilst watching the surf. The food and service are excellent at both places.

Across the River Gannel is the Fern Pit Cafe where the most delicious crab and lobster sandwiches and salads are on offer. If you time your visit right, you will be able to catch the water taxi from Crantock Beach across the Gannel and walk up the cliff to the cafe. So, if you don't feel like cooking at home while on holiday, you certainly won't go hungry!

The Crantock Village Store sells food, including fresh dairy, meat and produce as well as beverages, including wine and spirits. Fresh pasties, sausage rolls and bread are delivered every morning and should definitely be sampled. I personally vouch for their deliciousness! The post office is handy so you can send your friends a postcard saying, "We are having a wonderful time at the seaside - wish you were here."

Water sports are a big attraction at Crantock - surfing, paddle boarding or kayaking. Big Green Surf School, located in the National Trust car park, can provide you with rentals and lessons at a reasonable cost. If you are a National Trust member, parking is free.
