Welcome to Crantock

Home of the magnificent Crantock Beach, a vast expanse of welcoming sand and waves, ideal for adventurous surfers and families alike. A quaint village with 2 ancient inns, small shops and a Grade 1 listed Norman church. Crantock is the ideal base for discovering the whole of what Cornwall has to offer.

For those who favour a walk to take in the breathtaking views, Crantock Beach is just a 15 minute walk from the accommodation, and the famous Fistral Beach, Newquay a 30 minute walk.

Crantock Beach is a truly tremendous stretch of sand – at least as good as any of the more famous beaches in nearby Newquay but without the masses of tourists and surfers.

Holywell Bay is a short drive away and many will recognise it from several scenes in Poldark.

The sandy beach is extensive with something for everyone, dotted with small pools for crab hunting, and crashing waves for body boarding and surfing.

Nearby Newquay and its Fistral Beach is the surf capital of the UK and loved by surf pros and beginners alike. For those who prefer to relax on the beach, then try the renowned beaches of Towan, Tolcarne and Lusty Glaze, and maybe you can stick around till they come alive in the evening with their mix of lively and refined bars and restaurants.

Newquay is in a great location to explore Cornwall and all it has to offer - these are a few of our favourites: Pendennis Castle, Tintagel Castle, Kynance Cove, St Ives, Padstow, Porthleven and plenty of beaches, including Watergate Bay, Polzeath and Rock

Attractions and activities in the area include caves, cinemas (Newquay), museums, playground, zoo (Newquay), beachcombing, bird watching, horse riding, scenic drives, sight seeing, walking, cycling,, fishing, freshwater fishing, golf, mountain biking, sailing, diving, and surfing.

The site's location is ideal for exploring England's most loved holiday county, Cornwall, with the following favourites between 20-45 minutes away by car: Padstow, St Ives, Port Isaac, Truro, Falmouth and Fowey.
