Scotland is home to some of the most breathtaking scenery in all of the UK. With large areas of un-spoilt landscape and a rich cultural history, Scotland is a popular destination for people looking to take a break from the usual hustle and bustle, and perhaps for an opportunity to enjoy some time outdoors.
We hope this short guide to some of our popular holiday parks will be helpful if you’re thinking of holidaying in Scotland but haven’t quite decided on where you’d like to stay.

Seton Sands is a small but perfectly formed holiday park, situated about a 20-minute drive away from the country’s capital, Edinburgh.
With activities like archery and fencing taught on site, and a wide range of children’s workshops and evening entertainment, you and your family will have plenty to do. The site’s heated indoor swimming pool has recently been expanded and, if you prefer your exercise in the fresh air, there is also an on-site 9-hole golf course.
The park is dog friendly, but double check with your let owner before bringing your furry friend with you. The dog-friendly beach opposite the park also has plenty of rock-pools to explore while enjoying your walks.
A relaxed family holiday park located in Nairn, Inverness, complete with a beautiful beach only steps away from your accommodation. There is a bar and restaurant on site as well as a convenience store and off license.
An adventure playground, a wildlife nature trail and a crazy golf course offer plenty to do outside, and there’s also an indoor pool and a sauna to enjoy as well. If crazy golf isn’t your cup of tea, the park is also close to not one but two championship golf courses, as well as countless walks through the wonderful Scottish Highlands.
Nairn Lochloy is a dog friendly holiday park but please check with your let owners before bringing your dog along for the break.
Probably the most famous feature of this particular park is its enormous, multi-level, indoor swimming complex. The park, situated a little to southwest of Ayr, also features other activities such as archery, fencing, an indoor climbing wall, an outdoor go-karting track, and a 9-hole golf course. The site’s own Nature Rockz courses and activities teach children lessons like fire making, shelter building and how to build birdhouses, among other skills.
Evening entertainment is also available with music, pantomime, and theatre productions for you to enjoy. There are several restaurants and cafes on site, along with a well-equipped ‘mini’ market.
Most breeds of dog are allowed on site but all dogs must be kept on a lead at all times. Please check with your let owners before bringing your dog along for the break.
Wemyss Bay Holiday Park is located on the west coast of Scotland, very close to the islands of Bute, Cumbrae and Arran and there is a local ferry service available if you want to pay these neighbouring islands a visit.
Facilities include a heated indoor pool and sauna, a children’s climbing wall, an arcade and an adventure playground complete with zipwire. There are several planned nature walks in and around the park and easy to follow brochures for these can be found at reception.
Situated toward the north of Scotland, to the northeast of Inverness, Burghead Holiday Park is nestled between the sweeping Burghead Beach and a large expanse of explorable woodland.
The park may not have a huge number of facilities itself, although there is a children’s play area, but there are plenty of amenities in Burghead proper, which is just next-door. Due to it’s scale, and also to offering less in terms of activities and entertainment, the small and popular park of Burghead Beach does make an excellent destination for a quiet or outdoorsy break.
Burghead Beach is a dog friendly holiday park but, as always, please ask your let owners about their rules regarding pets before bringing yours along for the trip.
